Lately I've gotten asked a lot of questions on my Snapchat about a couple accessories I've worn lately which are all for the cold weather! My favorite coat (which I'm wearing above and hits below the knees so it's perfect for the midwest winters) is listed below as well as my favorite leopard beanie I've been wearing a little too much! I've listed some other fashionable winter accessories that I love which are sure to keep you warm. I'm so happy the temperatures have been rising lately because I wasn't enjoying the negative degree temps!
Keeping Royce warm has been my top priority since he's only a few weeks old and we've had to leave the hosue to visit friends/family or take him to his appointments. I always put a hat, socks, and mittens on him and dress him in pants and long sleeve onesies. I also tuck a blanket all around him but don't cover his face so he can breathe, and then I throw his car seat shield blanket on top which is fuzzy on one side and a sleeek material on the other, so it repels the wind.
To give some updates on Royce - He is such a happy baby y'all! There's only been a few times where after I fed him, changed him, and held him, he still cried... but other than that, it's pretty easy to figure out what is wrong. He moves his head around a LOT for a 3 week old, and loves watching his surroundings and staring at whoever is holding him. I'm still wanting to get a couple newborn photos done for him but could never find the time to schedule an appointment because I was recovering from my c-section, so I'll post some soon after our session!
I can't wait for my 6 weeks to be up so I can start working out again! Taking care of Royce every second of the day is great, but making a full meal with a newborn is hard, so I've been snacking a lot more than usual. Once I can get back to the gym, I'll make sure I eat a healthy meal after so I can be back to my old, healthy self!
I'm still debating on doing a labor & delivery post going into full detail on my 30+ hour labor which ended up in an emergency c-section - what do y'all think?!
