College was a wake-up call for so many reasons, but mostly because I knew I wouldn't have time to get my nails done with my mom anymore. I now have to paint my nails myself and can only afford to get a mani-pedi once a semester. So when Lillian Eve sent me their winter line of nail polishes, the Goddess Collection, I was more than happy to test them out. What girl doesn't love nail polish, even if she has to paint her nails herself?
My favorite polish out of the collection is by far Divinity. The color is bronzy with a subtle hint of gold. The formula is incredible and glides right on without being too thick. If you're in a rush, one layer of this polish will do just fine, but I used two coats. I let my polish dry for about 20 minutes before snagging a few pictures and the shine was definitely still there even with no clear coat! After testing out the electric blue color Mere Mortals, I learned that the formula is very similar to Divinity and works well with just one layer. However, the purple shimmer called Goddess was fairly opaque, so I had to apply 3 layers before I got my desired color. I have yet to try my cuticle oil pen, but I'm sure it won't disappoint.
I support Lillian Eve 100% for a number of reasons. You can actually shop consciously with this company. Each nail polish is 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic. It is also 5-free, which means there is no sign of Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene, or Camphor. They do not test on animals and don't source any of our materials from companies that do either! Even though I'm sure you're already thinking how this company could get any better, they make all their products here in the United States.
My other Lillian Eve Lusts are Ballet Slipper, Mint Envy, and Under My Feet. Stay up to date with this company, exclusive offers, giveaways, and more by following them on Instagram here!
